Going to the Zoo

This past week Mike and I were able to go to the Zoo with our good friends Jake & Abbie and their son Lincoln. It was so much fun. 

They added onto the zoo this

past year with an "African Safari". 

They had new lions,

giraffes and a couple of zebras.  

We had a picnic finished off with some annoying geese bugging us for our food. They seem to really like honey mustard salad dressing.  

The lions were amazing!

They were all just sleeping 

and being lazy in the sunshine. 

A Day in the Life of a Cowboy Action Shooter Wannabe

Mike and I got to go out and spend the day with our friend Bill who does Cowboy Action shooting.  Mike got to shoot his brand new gun. I was pretty petrified to shoot Mikes new gun because it is pretty "powerful." As you can see from the video it takes me about a minute to finally pull the trigger. I've only shot it once and that is enough! Yeah for Tax Returns! 

Cutting the grass!

We moved into our new house. And the grass was at least 5-7 inches long. So Jake and Mike tackled the exciting chore of taming our wilderness of grass and weeds. It took forever to rake up all that grass. Mike and Jake had a race to see who could cut the grass faster? And the winner is... JAKE!!!! 

Tucker!

This is Tucker. We adopted him on Friday October 17! He is 1/2 Chihuahua 1/2 Rat Terrier! He is about 6 weeks old. So far he's a pretty good puppy! We decided that Brolley and Houdini needed a play mate, although he is a little too small for Brolley still, and the cat thinks he is fun prey to stalk and pounce on, which makes Tucker pretty upset his legs are too small still to get anywhere very fast. 

OUR WEDDING

Mike and Hailie were married on January 4th, 2007. It was a very cold day. When we came out of the temple we walked right out into a blizzard! It was so cold, the wind was blowing and the snow was flying! But it made for some excellent pictures! All our family was able to make it down. We got married around 11 in the morning. After the pictures we went to lunch with the family! The next day we traveled to Star Valley for our reception! And we ended up being late for our own reception. My mom was worried sick. But it was so beautiful, her and my aunts did a great job decorating. 

Houdini

This is the newest member of the Beckman Family! His name is Houdini and rightly named. He gets into some pretty crazy situations. And he disappears for hours on end and we find him under the dishwasher and in the office desk drawer! But he is such a good kitty, and he is a great source of entertainment.
